We Want You: Podiatrist/Chiropodist Opportunity

Located in New Glasgow and Truro, HealthWalks Inc. Orthotic Clinic and Shoe Store (2 locations) is a 25-year-old successful private practice/business. We are looking to recruit a podiatrist / chiropodist who is highly motivated and attentive to detail including the way they present themselves and their office. Team HealthWalks is all about the small details making the client's experience amazing.

 

The successful candidate must be qualified to be registered with The Nova Scotia College of Physicians and Surgeons who recently took over the regulation of the profession here in Nova Scotia.

Our intention is to find a team player who is interested in working in a unique setting that is a private, family run business. The caseload would include traditional podiatric services, split between foot care and orthotic therapy. There is an online course that is required called FMT Level 1. You can find it here:

Preference will be given to someone who demonstrates the ability and motivation to participate in all areas of the business including marketing ideas and to someone who has a keen attention to detail in all areas of patient care and documentation. We are always looking at ways to better deliver our services and add new ones. Currently we have an online diagnostic tool project almost ready to launch that will help promote our online consults to any English speaking country. We are also keen on 3D printing our own orthotics in the near future.

 

This opportunity includes podiatric patient assessment and treatment, orthotic assessment and treatment, education regarding shoe recommendations, reporting to doctors and meeting with doctors. Impeccable documentation and organization is a must.
